Newport Plaza and Newport Shopping Center
NEWPORT, KENTUCKY – Four new tenants will open for business this fall in the Newport Shopping Center and Plaza complex. Brandi Norwood, Director of Leasing for Albanese Cormier Holdings (ACH), is responsible for bringing these tenants to Newport to occupy 58,625 square feet cumulatively between the two centers. Crunch Fitness, Newport Tires, A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts and Urban Nails will fill spaces at the two properties on Monmouth and Carothers Road.
The first to join the tenant mix will be Newport Tires, scheduled to open later this month in the former 4,460-square-foot car wash site in the Plaza. The other three stores will open this fall.
Norwood worked closely with Peter Borchers of Midland Retail to bring Crunch Fitness, a 30,521-square-foot lease, to Newport. Crunch Fitness started in the East Village in New York City in 1989 and now has more than 145 locations across the United States.
New Jersey-based A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts is opening within the next 60 days. The Newport location at 82D Carothers will be the company’s second store in the Greater Cincinnati area and will occupy 18,482 square feet. Norwood worked with Dustin Marks of Anchor Associates, who represented A.C. Moore, in the deal.
The Urban Nails salon will fill 4,982 square feet next to Family Dollar in the Shopping Center.
ACH, who also owns Alexandria Village Green in Alexandria, Kentucky, purchased the Newport Shopping Center and Plaza in January 2018 and has since had great success in leasing space at both centers.
