Albanese Cormier Holdings Expands into Illinois with Acquisition of Decatur Marketplace

DECATUR, ILLINOIS – Albanese Cormier Holdings is pleased to announce its expansion into the state of Illinois after the successful acquisition of Decatur Marketplace. The property was purchased from national REIT Phillips Edison & Company for an undisclosed sum. Eric Wohl of Hanley Investment group represented the buyer.

Located directly next to Super Wal-Mart, Decatur Marketplace is a highly successful 194,781 square foot community center located at the Southwest corner of Mt. Zion Road and Maryland Street and 40 miles due East of Springfield.

The shopping center features strong national tenants, including CATO, GameStop, GNC and the Cash Store. Decatur Marketplace is within close proximity to Richland Community College and reaps the benefits of the area’s vast industrial and agricultural production industries.
