ACH celebrates holiday with Federal leases
Albanese Cormier Holdings celebrates this holiday season with two new leases. The Federal Emergency Management Agency, FEMA, and the United States Census Bureau each chose an Albanese Cormier Shopping Center in Nederland, Texas to serve as its headquarters as the two agencies serve the Golden Triangle area for the next year. Albanese Cormier Holdings provided substantial renovations to turn a former credit union and call center in the Mid County Shopping Center into two separate State-of-the-Art government agencies.
FEMA took occupancy of their 12,000 square foot space on September 7, 2009. The agency is continuing to work on the recovery of Hurricane Ike in Southeast Texas. FEMA currently has 65 employees working at their facility in the Mid County Shopping Center. The Census Bureau’s newly renovated 8,000 square foot location will produce around 1,700 to 1,800 temporary part-time employment opportunities and 50 to 60 full-time positions in the Golden Triangle area. “Hopefully our presence will be a contribution to the community,” stated Butch Burgin, United States Census Bureau Space and Leasing Representative. The Census Bureau has planned an open house for January 11, 2009. Albanese Cormier Holdings executives worked with commercial broker, Sheri Arnold with Coldwell Banker Arnold and Associates to bring both government agencies to the Mid County Shopping Center.
Mid County Shopping Center is located in the heart of the Golden Triangle.
